Losman doesn't own a loft downtown. He rented one his rookie season in the old LL Burger store but then bought a townhouse in a 1920s mansion that's been divided into 3 units on Oakland Place on the west side. Nice neighborhood, btw.

Anywho, nothing short of a trip to the Super Bowl could keep him on this team past this season. Coach Jauron inherited him, Losman's not his guy. Unless your QB's name is Manning no coach wants the previous regime's QB, especially an underachieving one. He still, after 3 years in the league, doesn't know when to get rid of the ball. He'll take a sack or try and force a throw instead of checking off. Losman has the physical ability to play QB but not the mental ability. He's destined to be a career backup. He'll stick around the league for a while because of his big arm but the only way he's starting a game is if someone ahead of him on the depth chart gets injured. If he's lucky he'll stick around long enough to be like a Bernie Kosar, Vinny Testaverde or Trent Dilfer. Scrubs who after not living up to their potential early in their careers hung around long enough to become the crafty veteran who got by on their football smarts. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Chances are he'll end up on the 49ers after QB Alex Smith fails yet again or maybe in Jacksonville where former Bills coach Gregg Williams has been exiled.

Sorry, the JP Losman era is dead.
