The Big Move

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

So I am officially a member of the Greece community now and so far I really like it! My Fiancée and I moved into our new apartment on Saturday and we walked to Denny’s on Sunday night because it’s literally right in front of our apartment complex… remember all they weight I lost? I better stay away from Denny’s and their moons over my hammy or else it’ll be back in a month. We had some Pontillo’s pizza Saturday after we finally got all the crap moved in… that was FANTASTIC, so werd to their mom’s. Again I better not get used to ordering this stuff….

The move itself was a bit long, but thankfully we had a lot of help. My Dad and brother both came up, my buddy Jae who no longer wants to be referred to as fat-ass Jae for the record, and his lovely wife Brandy, our good friends John and Colleen who provided a 2nd trailer (THANK GOD), and of course my buddies Steve and Burley, who literally picked up the heavy stuff like they were boxes of tissue. It’s good to have friends who are 6′5” and ripped lol. Steve is the son of a familiar voice in Rochester, Don Stevens (the voice of the Rhinos and Americans) and is working toward getting in the business. Great guy, and so is his dad.

Of course once everything got moved in the real “fun” began. Unpacking is my ultimate pain in the ass. I hate it more then I hate mayo… and I HATE mayo. It’s like once you get one area organized and put away, that area is immediately filled with another pile. Plus where the heck do you even start? We started in the kitchen, then did a little bit of both the living room and bedroom to make them manageable. The next thing you know it’s 2am and both Jessi and I can’t perform the simplest of tasks. It’s also amazing how much crap we actually own. We moved into a 1 bedroom unit and we could easily fill a small house.

In any event, it still feels great to have our own place. Hopefully we will have it 90% sorted out by the end of the week so we can have a house warming party of some sort. Many thanks to the people at Farash Living Spaces for having the place spotless when we moved in.
